Dr. Ben Armstrong

Dr. Ben Armstrong is a Research Scientist at the Initiative for Knowledge and Innovation in Manufacturing and the Industrial Performance Center at MIT. He studies how some places and organizations adapt to structural economic changes more successfully than others. His current projects include a National Manufacturing Workforce Plan, funded by the Department of Defense, as well as a book project examining the role of government in enabling local economic transformations. Ben received his PhD from MIT. Before graduate school, he worked at Google Inc.
